Post-test support

Online document submission after a passing road test.

Brinkley's currently publishes an online document submission option for eligible students who test with the school. Instead of taking the packet to DPS yourself, the school can submit the document packet online and you complete the state side later through Texas systems.

Two ways to finish

Standard packet in person or school upload for eligible cases.

After a passing road test, Brinkley's current published process gives you two possible paths. The standard path is to take the school-issued packet to DPS yourself. The other published option is online document submission for eligible students, where the school uploads the packet and you finish the state step later through TxT or DPS.

Standard path

Take the packet to DPS

In person

  • Brinkley's issues the passing document packet after the road test
  • You take that packet to DPS and complete the license step there
  • The DPS or Texas.gov license fee is separate and still depends on your license type and age

Published school option

Online document submission

$370 current published total

  • Brinkley's currently publishes this as $170 for the road test plus an additional $200 upload fee
  • The school notes this option is for eligible students and should be confirmed before you pay
  • Brinkley's says students should expect to log into TxT about 3 business days after the test to finish the state step

Do not assume

Eligibility still needs confirmation

Check first

  • This upload option is not the right fit for every student or every licensing case
  • The school's currently published process says approval is not guaranteed until your situation is reviewed
  • If you are not sure, contact Brinkley's before paying for the upload path

How it works

What the current published upload process looks like.

This page is based on Brinkley's current published FAQ language together with current Texas driver-license resources. Use it as a practical guide, then confirm your own case with the school before paying for the upload option.

1. Pass the road test

The online submission path starts only after a passing road test at the school. It is not a substitute for the test itself.

2. Confirm upload eligibility

Brinkley's says the upload option is not for everyone, so the school should confirm whether your case qualifies before payment.

3. Finish the state step later

After the school submits the packet, the student still logs into TxT or another Texas driver-service flow later to finish issuance and pay the applicable state fee.

Important details

What students usually still need to know.

The school upload does not remove every state step. It changes how the packet moves, but the student still has to complete the Texas side correctly.

The state fee is still separate.

Texas driver-license fees vary by age and transaction type. The school upload fee is not the same thing as the DPS or Texas.gov license fee.

View official fee schedule

TxT is part of the online completion flow.

Brinkley's currently tells students to log into TxT about 3 business days after the road test when using the upload option.

Open Texas driver services

Teen and adult cases may not behave exactly the same.

The supporting records and restrictions tied to license issuance can still depend on driver stage and age, so ask Brinkley's if your case has any edge conditions.

Useful reminder

Online submission speeds up the packet handoff, not the legal requirements.

Need a decision?

Not sure whether the upload path fits your case?

Contact Brinkley's before paying for the school upload. If you still need the actual test first, go back to the Road Test page and use the request-first path there.
